Awood Center Hosts “Know Your Rights” Session with Minnesota Department of Labor
Minneapolis, MN – April 16, 2026 — Awood Center successfully organized a Know Your Rights community education session on April 16, 2026. The session featured participation from the Minnesota Department of Labor, providing community members with important information about workers’ rights.
During the session, participants engaged in a meaningful discussion and asked questions directly to a Department of Labor representative. A key focus of the conversation was Minnesota’s Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) program, including eligibility, benefits, job protection, and the application process.
The event created a valuable space for community members to gain accurate information, clarify concerns, and better understand their rights in the workplace.
Awood Center remains committed to empowering workers and strengthening the community through education, advocacy, and access to critical resources.
